Gr-granddaughter of William Barnett and Jean Jack (1750-1811), his wife, m. 1772; Richard Worsham and Mary Wingfield, his wife; John Adam Treutlen, Jr. (1770-1823), and Ann Margaret Miller (1776-1818), his wife, m. 1793.

John Barnett (1717-1804) in 1780 with his three sons took part in the battle of Hanging Rock. His wife, Ann Spratt Barnett, gave constant aid to the Revolutionary soldiers. He was born in Northern Ireland; died in Charlotte, N.C.
William Barnett (1747-1834) commanded a troop of “Horsemen” from Mecklenberg County, N. C., and later served under “Sumpter” in the South Carolina troops. He was born in North Carolina; died in Wilkes County, Ga.
John Adam Treutlen (1726-80) was a member of the first Provincial Congress and the first Governor, 1777, under the State Constitution. When Savannah fell into the hands of the British he escaped to South Carolina. He was murdered by a band of Tories at Orangeburg, S. C.

[p.215] John Worsham (1731-79) served, 1776-79, as ensign, lieutenant, and captain in the 2nd Virginia regiment. He was born and died in Hanover County, Va.
Richard Worsham (1746-1826) served, 1777-81, as lieutenant in the 10th Virginia regiment. He was born in Virginia; died in Wilkes County, Ga.
Patrick Jack (1700-80) was a patriot too old to serve in the ranks as did his sons. When ill in bed the Tories burned his house and the exposure caused his death.
John Miller served, 1775, as a private in Col. William Thompson's regiment of Rangers. He was born, 1745, in Virginia; died in Orangeburg County, South Carolina.
Thomas Wingfield served, 1782, as a private in a company from Hanover County, Va., where he was born. He died after 1800 in Wilkes County, Ga.
